Community service emphasis - Putting ministry skills to practical use.

Community service is an essential aspect of the HVII vocational ministry training.

Our competency-based vocational ministry training is based on 5 core values:

1- Christ
At HVII, all teachings are Christ-centered and aim at developing a Christ-like mindset and behavior in all students.

2- Community
Training will be carried out partly through study and partly through relationships. The student’s ministerial vocation will be expressed and worked out in all aspects of his or her daily life: family, church community, society and the wider world.

3- Character
The ultimate purpose of HVII’s training is to build character, not just to gain knowledge. It is thus expected that the indwelling life of Christ expressed in the community will lead to the development of godly character.

4- Calling
Every student’s calling will be observed, developed, and confirmed within the immediate context of the church community.

5- Competency
Competency in a particular area of life and ministry is best developed and nurtured within the environment of a loving community. It will thus need to be demonstrated by practical, hands-on training within the immediate context of the local church and
community.
